Glory Amsterdam

Oct 2017: The 77,171 dwt Singapore owned bulk carrier Glory Amsterdam was blown ashore on the island of Langeoog in northern Germany after dragging her anchors.

Two major units of the Boskalis group Union Manta and Fairmount Summit were chartered to refloat her. With a combined power of nearly 38,000 bhp.

September 2008 Boskalis offered €1.11 billion for fellow Dutch company and towage specialist Smit International.

A revised offer of €1.35 billion was accepted by Smit in January 2010.
