With her wide open-air spaces, CRN’s new superyacht Latona offers an original interpretation of timeless elegance, coupled with Italian style and seaman like functionality.
Drawing inspiration from a range of yachts built in the early days of CRN, the all new 50 metre Latona is yet another milestone in the successful partnership that pairs the Italian Artisan yacht builder with the design team from Zuccon International Project. The technical engineering and the slender lines of this much longer hull have been developed by the builders own in-house engineering department, while the exterior lines were drawn by Zuccon who, together with the shipyard’s design department, also took care of both interiors and exteriors.
Custom-built to meet the wishes of her highly selective and rather determined owner and his family, Latona was delivered in May and made her worldwide debut at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show where she was much admired. The yacht, which comes in under the magic 500gt figure, features a balcony that can be used while cruising, an opening sea terrace, an aft beach club, and a float-in garage for her tender.
The garage itself forms an uninterrupted area with the beach club, converting a technical space into a wide lounge at water level that features a solarium, fitness area, hammam and a seawater indoor pool perfect for the owners children to have fun in. An elegant design style pervades the yacht’s interiors and runs across all decks. Soft, sinuous lines are a consistent design feature found throughout the yacht, with the curvy furniture and furnishings harmoniously blended with refined, hand-made decorative details.
With her huge internal volumes made apparently larger by the extensive use of glass and large full-height windows, those who travel aboard her remain in constant visual contact with the outside for those seeking to experience total freedom at sea.
