Very few movie going, yacht lovers will need to be reminded of the scene in the 007 film Skyfall when the fated heroine Severine looks seductively at Bond in a Macau casino, saying “When I leave they’re going to kill you. If you survive, I’m on the Chimera, North harbour, berth seven.” Bond stops long enough only to dispose of some nasty looking baddies before moments later sliding aboard the superyacht, entering the master stateroom and joining Severine in the shower.
The part of Chimera was played by the 56-metre schooner Regina, a yacht now available for sale through Nice based brokers; Engel & Völkers Yachting. Shortly after her launch in 2011, she was featured in the 50th anniversary James Bond movie sailing to Hashima Island, Japan carrying 007 and Bond Girl Bérénice Marlohe with her. The onscreen voyage showcased the classic sophistication of life on-board.
The classically styled high performance ocean-going schooner, built by Med Yachts in 2011 has been designed with elegance, romance and space is fully MCA compliant. Heavily varnished timber is prominent both on deck and below, all of which brings a strong nautical flavour to the high level of luxury offered on board. The main salon features a formal dining area, two sumptuous sofas and, as a piéce de resistance, a highly-polished white grand piano.
