The Israeli shipping company Zim returned to the port of Seattle, Washington, on Apr 5 as part of the 2M Transpacific container service.
This was the start of the line’s first regular service since 2017, when it operated as an independent carrier on the route.
This new service was inaugurated by the ZIM Ningbo 91,158gt, and she called at Seattle’s Terminal 46. The port rotation for this Pacific Pollux service is: Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Vancouver, Seattle, Yokohama, Pusan and then back to Kaohsiung.
Zim has contributed four ships to the weekly service.
