State-of-the-art, 58 metre, vessel fishing vessel, Blue North, was christened on 9 September.
She is a special design to improve the welfare of her seafarers, reduce environmental impact and harvest fish more humanely.
To improve working conditions for her 26 crew, all gear is below deck and hauled through a moon pool to keep personnel off the weather decks while working. Blue North also has a hospital and personnel elevator with conveyors to move supplies and seafood with auto-freezers eliminating the need to work freezer trays manually.
Crew accommodation is in the form of private and double en suite heads.
