This is including all locations, employees, management and the charter fleet as well as the subsidiaries, including the bunker and chartering broker MCC Marine Consulting & Contracting and NPC Projects.
Acquired from Rickmers Holdings, the Rickmers Line is one of the world’s leading specialists in the global transportation of break bulk, heavy lift and project cargo by sea with regular sailings and reliable schedules.
Its Round-the-World Pearl String Service connects the core business areas of the world and has liner services between the United States, Europe and the Middle East/India. NPC Projects, which was acquired by Rickmers in July, 2016, offers a heavy lift tramp service.
Zeaborn GmbH & Co KG, established in 2013, said the Rickmers Line is a perfect extension to the existing Zeaborn tramp business.
“With the growth of our fleet, we were faced with the challenge of building a global organisation and the Rickmers Line was available at the right time,” said Jan Hendrik Többe, managing partner of the Zeaborn Group. Together, the Zeaborn Group and the Rickmers Line with NPC and MCC have close to 200 employees and a combined fleet of about 50 multi-purpose ships with deadweight capacities between 7,500 and 30,000 tonnes and a combined lifting capacity of up to 700 tonnes.
