The new Japanese container line Ocean Network Express (ONE) began operations on Apr 1. The partners are Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line), Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line). The alliance operates around 230 ships with a total capacity of 1.44mn teu and they are deployed in all the major trades with calls at more than 200 major ports in 100 countries.
Formed in July last year, ONE is the world’s sixth-largest international shipping company.
