North and South Korea and Russia carried out a third trial run of a trilateral coal shipping project from Russia to South Korea via the North Korean port of Rajin.
On this trial in November, 120,000 tons of Russian coal were transported from Rajin by three ships to the South Korean ports of Gwangyang, Pohang and Busan.
The first test of this project took place in 2014 and a second followed last April. The South Korean steel manufacturer POSCO and Hyundai Merchant Marine are involved in the project.
