I AM SEEKING INFORMATION on Convoy HX 84 (the Jervis Bay convoy), which was attacked by the Admiral Scheer on 5 November 1940.
My research reveals that after the Jervis Bay was sunk, the Canadian Pacific ship Beaverford took up the fight, and successfully held off the German raider for another 4-5 hours, before she herself was blown out of the water. The Beaverford went down with all hands, so I cannot confirm this gallant action. I would be much obliged if anyone has a tale to tell me of HX 84.
