I WAS VERY INTERESTED TO READ the article ‘Incat Still Holds A World Record After Two Decades’, about ships built in Tasmania holding the record for fastest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, Sea Breezes, p21, August 2010.
I have read records of high speed catamarans Hoverspeed Great Britain and CatLink V before, but didn’t pay particular attention to specifics as I did not think they were classical passenger vessels. However, now this theme has interested me. I wish to know how much fuel has been used during the crossings, and where refueling took place. Was there cargo and passengers, or catamarans only with ballast?
I’m interested in more detailed specifications and a diary of the crossings. I will be grateful if someone can send me more detailed information concerning these ships.
