IN THE JULY 2010 ISSUE OF SEA BREEZES, in the article ‘Incat Still Holds A World Record After Two Decades’ (page 395), I read about the record time of crossing the Atlantic Ocean by two high speed catamarans - Hoverspeed Great Britain and CatLink V.
Some time before I already read in various newspapers and magazines about these records; however no publication gives the detailed information about specifications of catamarans (type of main engines, maximum and operational power of ME’s, fuel consumption, capacity of fuel and water tanks, capacity of provisions stocks, passenger and cargo capacity etc). I do not understand how these ships could cross the Atlantic Ocean without additional bunkering by fuel. Any information would be appreciated.
