I recently took a day trip to Southampton with my seven year old son, Mason, to indulge in our hobby of taking photos of the big ships and tugs.
In the early evening, Mason asked me if we can go for a trip on the Isle of Wight ferry, so I gave in and we went on as foot passengers for a ride over and back.
As we got out into the Solent, my son was so happy when we saw the big aircraft carrier HW Bush anchored off Portsmouth.
Here’s a selection of photos taken on this enjoyable day on 27 July 2017. All the very best to the staff at the best magazine in the world.
