I am researching the history of HMS Bergamot, sunk on the 13 August 1917.
Your former editor, Frederick William Siddall was her 1st Lieutenant, and had his life saved by Robert Sydney Steele Smith AM. Siddall’s injuries caused his retirement from active service in the March of 1918. I lose track of him until 1924 when up he pops as editor of Sea Breezes.
I wonder if anyone has any other information of him.
