I WAS VERY interested in the article in the August 2013 issue of Sea Breezes written by Dave Snowden on the Mid Atlantic Rescue 1965.
I was also on the Londoner when these events happened and remember the events quite clearly. I was working as a steward in those days and I believe that the Chief Steward that I was working for was Harry Sullivan.
I believe that I was playing chess with Dave Snowden earlier in the night when the rescue happened but then it was almost 50 years ago and the memory does play tricks. I enclose four photos one of which is a picture of a pewter mug given to me and other crew members on board the Londoner. The other pictures I took with a Polaroid camera that I had at the time.
