IT WAS VERY INTERESTING to read Robert Straughton’s comments regarding the lovely little passenger vessel, Princess Royal in the March issue of Sea Breezes.
She arrived in the Mersey during the early 90’s and was, initially, berthed in West Waterloo Dock.
During this time I remember hearing various rumours that she was to renew the sailings to Llandudno. It is a great pity that she has just lain at her berth rotting away. I enclose a couple of views taken on 25 January, 1996.
