As a follow up I find myself in the position of apologising once again to our subscribers, especially in Australia, new Zealand and Ireland for the totally unacceptable delays by our mailing company in delivering the magazine within a reasonable time. A boarding party is being prepared to visit the adjacent island (England) to ‘interview’ the said miscreants! That may well be seen as a humourous comment but I can assure readers we are extremely annoyed that we have been let down and that in turn so have some of our subscribers.
Congratulations to the Royal Navy who celebrated the ‘Centenary of Naval Aviation’ on the 7th of May followed by a service of thanksgiving in St Paul’s Cathedral the following day.
Staying with the Royal Navy, the RFA Wave Knight has been in the thick of the action against the Somalia based pirates with two calls to ‘action stations’ in one day. Reports from the pirate infested area off Somalia and the Yemen indicate that pirate attacks have now exceeded more than 100 over the past year.
All good wishes.
